The night before last, Erica and I rented our first movie from Apple on our AppleTV. The experience was a really good one. Once the movie started to download, it was about 10 seconds before we could start watching: a lot faster than going out to Blockbuster, finding the movie, coming back, and then watching it.
The movie was Amazing Grace, and it was really wonderful. I wish that Apple had a "buy this movie" for movies that you'd rented. I would have gladly paid the extra amount to keep it. It's the story of William Wilberforce, the politician who convinced the British parliment to abolish slavery. If you haven't seen the movie, you definitely should.
Since there is a rule that every post must include something about Lillian: She discovered magnetism yesterday! One of her toys has a magnet in it, and she was playing with that toy and the top to a baby food jar, which is metal. She realized that some times they would stick together, but not always. She started putting them together in different ways over and over again, until she figured out when they would stick together and when they wouldn't. It was very cute.Â
