OK, two things: 1) I think I 've got the Photocast working again, and 2) Here's the first entry for the podcast.
It turns out that the Photocast had a weird quirk setting the last set of images with a null reference. With my "expert skills of an" XML/RSS nerd, I have located and edited the Photocast file by hand. Now, it should work without problems. At least it does for me. In addition, I know that there are a few people who use Windows who would like an easier way to view the Photocast than FireFox. I've found 2 apps for the evil operating system that might work for you: dmAlbums and Photocast Viewer. I have not used them, so I don't know how user-friendly they are, but I've read a couple of good things about each.
Also, I have received my new 1TB hard drive! That means I now have space in which to download and edit video from my camcorder. In honor of this historic event, I have put up the first video of our family podcast! If you subscribe to this RSS feed in iTunes, it will download directly to that application. However, even if you don't, you can download and view the video using the following link:
uploads/FirstVowel.m4v (Apparently, the Safari Web Browser has issues with this link. If you're using Safari, please right click on the link, download it, and remove the extraneous ".txt" that it places at the end of the file name. If you just click on the link, it looks like a lot of text garbage across the page.)
This is the first time that Lillian has clearly mimicked our speach. As you can tell from the video, we were all very excited. In fact, it will probably be funnier to watch and listen to Erica and me.
