The Goetzian Blog

1. In January we moved to Dallas from San Antonio.  It was a hectic move, but the cats have adjusted well.
2. We bought a Condo (and a Cuisinart) and have learned the joys of home ownership.  We still have some sprucing up to do, but it's getting into shape.
3. Erica started a new job at UT Southwestern as a treatment nurse.  She later switched to a research nurse position.
4. Andrew started school at Dallas Theological Seminary where he has now completed 2 semesters. Much to his surprise, he's actually passed Greek.
5. We had a wonderful cruise with Andrew's family in the Caribbean. Andrew lost his wedding ring in the ocean while snorkeling, but a very kind and cunning instructor in scuba gear retrieved it from a bed of coral.
6. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary!
7. On the 4th of July, we found out that we're gonna have a baby!  We know it's a girl, but we don't have a name yet.  We use a different name every week, just so we have something to call her.  Considering when we found out, we're thinking about calling her Liberty.
8. In August, we took a road trip up the east coast to see old friends and family.  It was great to catch up with everyone!
9. Andrew started a new job at HRSmart. 

It's been a very eventful year, and 2007 promises a number of wonderful events of its own.  We'll keep you updated right here on our blog!

Deere Wife

We spent Christmas with Erica's family this year in Moline, IL; the headquarters for John Deere.  After we were bumped from our flight home, we went to the John Deere museum and watched our nephew and niece sit on the tractors.  Not wanting to leave our daughter out of the fun, we got a picture of [Rowena] and Mommy in front of the cotton-pickin' cotton picker.  We took a flight the following morning back to Dallas.

Erica had another doctor's appointment on Wednesday, where he told her that she could take cold medicine.  And there was much rejoicing (yaaay!)  We have been drugged up ever since.
